1 Corinthians chapter 7
The only place in God's new covenant that gives new covenant law about
Divorce and Re-Marriage
is found in
1Corinthians 7:26-28
"Because of the present crisis, I think that it is good for you to remain as you are. Are you married ? Do not seek a divorce. Are you Divorced ? Do not look for a wife. But if you do marry you have not sinned."
The only other place in God's new covenant that gives New covenant Law for
Marriage
is found in
Hebrews 13:4
"Marriage should be honored by all, and the marriage bed kept pure, for God will judge the adulterer and all the sexually immoral".
That is it !
(period)
The only two places in God's New Covenant that address these subjects.
There are no other places.
No, Romans 7 does not address Divorce or Re-Marriage.
The only thing that Romans 7 addresses is adultery.
1Corinthians 7:26-28
"Because of the present crisis, I think that it is good for you to remain as you are. Are you married ? Do not seek a divorce. Are you Divorced ? Do not look for a wife. But if you do marry you have not sinned."
Without question this is talking about divorced people getting re-married and married people getting divorced.
God's new covenant laws on Marriage, Divorce, and Re-Marriage are
so simple.
In God's old covenant He governed civil marriage Laws. And in His new covenant He does not.
In the same way that the seventhday adventist denomination misleads their members to "hold to God's old covenant"
do not
allow anyone to do the same to you regarding
Marriage, Divorce, and Re-Marriage.
