The church needs to stop "belittling" the Holy Spirit.

The church needs to stop making Laws that are not in the Bible.

Where did the idea ever come from that man is allowed to make commands out of obscure Scripture ?

Can we please begin to realize just how many un-true Laws have been burdened upon innocent people who just want to worship God.

Was the Holy Spirit not  "able"  to record only the Laws that Jesus

wanted Him to record ?

Does man need to improve upon the Holy Spirit ?

Here's a perfect example;

 1Corinthians 9:5

Don't we have the right to take a believing wife along with us, as do the other apostles and the Lord's brothers and Cephas ?

 2Corinthians 6:14

Do not be yoked together with unbelievers.  For what do righteousness and wickedness have in common ?  Or what fellowship can light have with darkness ?

People will actually demand that these scriptures command that Christians cannot get married to a non-Christian.  They actually have the audacity to belittle the Holy Spirit and claim that the Holy Spirit was not competent enough to write the words;

" Do not marry anyone who is not a believer."

The Holy Spirit was very able to do it here;

1 Corinthians 7:39  A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives.  But if her husband dies she is free to marry anyone she wishes,

but he

 " must belong to the Lord ".

There the Holy Spirit was quite well and able to say that a Christian widow

" cannot marry an un-believer ".

So if the Holy Spirit was able to say that there, then why couldn't He say it regarding the purple scriptures above ?

If the Holy Spirit is able to say in Genesis 28:1 and 28:6

" Do not marry a Canaanite woman. "

Then why couldn't He write;

" Do not marry an un-believer. "    ? ? ?

Please, will every Christian in the body of Christ please stop making up their own commands or putting words in God's mouth.

Proverbs 30:5   Every word of God is flawless, He is a shield to those who take refuge in him.  6 Do not add to his words or he will rebuke you and prove you a liar.

Revelation 22:18  I warn everyone who hears the words of the prophecy of this book: If anyone adds anything to them, God will add to him the plagues described in this book.

1 Corinthians 4:6  Now, brothers, I have applied these things to myself and Apollos for your benefit, so that you may learn from us the meaning of the saying, "Do not go beyond what is written."

Response to an email from Kelly;

So what is God's NEW Covenant command on a Christian marrying a non-Christian ?

Hi  Kelly,  If you have a look at 1Cor. 7:39 you can see God's specific New Covenant command for "widows".

1Corinthians 7:39  A woman is bound to her husband as long as he lives.  But if her husband dies, she is free to marry anyone she wishes but he must belong to the Lord.

So if God was able to command in this case that the spouse must be a Christian, surely He could have commanded the same if He meant it to be this way for every Christian marriage.  Right ?

But He doesn't.  Simple fact.

And because the only new covenant commands for marriage are in 1Corinthians 7, you will not find any command that prohibits a Christian from marrying a non-Christian, other than for widows.

And God specifically does say that because of sexual immorality (for those who are prone to commit fornication), to let everyone have their own spouse.
1Corinthians 7:2  But since there is so much immorality, each man should have his own wife, and each woman her own husband.

O.k. but if marriage represents a Covenant between God and His church would He (Jesus) willingly enter into a covenant with someone that is not a believer ?

Kelly it's "impossible" for God to enter into a Covenant with a non-believer.  A person has to believe and obey Acts 2:38 in order to enter into God's Covenant.

Our choice to enter into marriage really has nothing to do with God's Covenant with us.  Since the Day of Pentecost, God changed His Law regarding marriage and man has made huge mistakes because of not understanding proper Covenant Division.  First off, the whole to death do us part thing is ridiculous simply because it's not Law.  For two people to remain together, who do not LOVE each other, is insane, if it's not God's Law.  If my wife willingly chooses to give her life over to drugs, she has chosen to end the marriage.  So for me to think that I need to somehow remain married to her is nonsense.  Second, marriage is really only for Christians.  It's God's Law for sex.  For non-Christians to embrace marriage is really a joke upon them.  It might make them feel good, but the truth is, they are really deceiving themselves.  For non-Christians to marry, is the exact same thing as pagans in the time of Moses, offering sacrifices.  The pagans just stole the Law of offering sacrifices from God's people and started doing it because they believed it had some value.  There's no real value in marriage for non-Christians.

I know the whole idea of a man being won over by a gentle and quiet spirit but would it be smart to enter into a relationship with a man that does not belong to the Lord ?

Kelly the only thing it depends on is the character of the man and the age of the woman, if she's under 25 I would encourage her not to, unless she is extremely prone to fornication.

That's why 2-3 years of dating should be mandatory to any wise decision towards marriage.
If the man proves his integrity in these 2-3 years, then the only difference is that the Christian would have God's Spirit in order to help him to do God's will.  But because the non-Christian is not interested in doing God's will, the Spirit is of no value to him.

But that doesn't mean that that man would not want a loving family relationship and that he would not work towards such.  The world is filled with non-Christian husbands dedicated to their wives.

What would be unwise, is for the woman to place any sort of "pressure" on the man to become a Christian.  She married him to have sex and to have a loving relationship with him.  NOT to convert him.

If the woman is not interested in having children, then it would be unwise for her to marry him unless he's willing to first get a vasectomy.

What would be unwise is for her to marry him and then not give him her body when he wants her (not advocating the support of sexual addiction, a man needs to understand that sex is something that should not be taken for granted).

What would be unwise is for her to marry him without first getting him to confess that a woman needs romance to survive within a marriage.

If the above is accomplished, then marrying the non-Christian man is NOT unwise.

Remember that most men do not realize that a woman's brain is wired for "romance" in the exact same way that his brain is wired for sex.  Until a man realizes this, he will never be able to satisfy his wife.

Now go take on the day  ;0)

If you have finally come to realize that someone bound a Law upon you that you now know is absolutely not in God's word please email us and tell us what it was.

Here's some that have been given to us and that need to be

exposed and annihilated immediately !

1.  A group of congregations in the eastern U.S. used to strongly coheres its members to give money beyond what was according to their income.  Some in that body even told Christians that if they didn't have any money they should put their first day of the week giving onto their Visas or Mastercards .  May God reprimand such an EVIL teaching.

2.  I was told once by a preacher that it was a sin to go to a public swimming pool.

3.  One of our preachers said that God demanded that if our city of 1 million people had more than one congregation, that would be against His  'implied'  Law of only one congregation per city.  Oh mercy.

4.  I was told for years that it was a sin to be wealthy.

5.  My friends and I were told that if a person out in the country picked up a Bible and read Acts 2:38 and then had their brother baptize them, that they would not be saved if the baptism wasn't done by a preacher.

6.  A friend of mine was told that she could not ride on the back of her friend's motorcycle because that would be an appearance of evil, and he wasn't even her boyfriend.

7.  Many more to come, sad to say.

(Keep exposing the lies of the devil, send us your experiences.)

Preachers and Teachers, what Laws are You commanding

that are not in God's Word ?

These are the only  "Do Not" Scriptures in God's NEW Covenant.

But the righteousness that is by faith says: “ DO NOT say in your heart, ‘Who will ascend into heaven?’ “ (that is, to bring Christ down)

1Corinthians 5:11
But now I am writing you that you must not associate with anyone who calls himself a brother but is sexually immoral or greedy, an idolater or a slanderer, a drunkard or a swindler. With such a man DO NOT even eat.

Do you not know that the wicked will not inherit the kingdom of God? DO NOT be deceived: Neither the sexually immoral nor idolaters nor adulterers nor male prostitutes nor homosexual offenders.

Hebrews 10:25

Let us not  abandon  meeting together, as is the custom of some, but let us encourage one another and all the more as you see the Day approaching.

Greek / English Interlinear

 Hebrews 10:25

Mh (No)     Egkataleipontev (Abandon)     Thn (The)     Episunagwghn (Assembling)

Eautwn (of Ourselves)     Kaqwv (According to)     Eqov (the Custom)     Tisa (of Some)

 Hebrews 10:25

mh (No)   egkataleiponteV (Abandon)   thn (The)   episunagwghn (Assembling)

eautwn (of Ourselves)   kaqwV (According to)   eqoV (the Custom)   tisin (of Some)

The Greek word here is  abandon.

Which is  not  the English word for "miss a service".

Abandon means to  completely quit  attending church.

It does not mean "Don't ever miss a service".

 Do you sin ? by preaching that it's a sin to miss a church service ?

If yes then please stop doing so.

Those who preach that it's a sin to miss a gathering are usually the same ones that are wrongly directing their congregation by trying to press their members into a budget, instead of allowing the donations of the congregation to determine spending.
